Summary: This is a no-frills motel with no vending except an ice machine, BUT the service from the staff (I assume it’s the owner and family, as they’re always there) is top notch. We enjoy staying at Alpine. The rooms are clean and have a good amount of space. If you’re just looking for a good night’s sleep at a good price, this is a great place. There is an excellent Mexican restaurant, Puerto Nuevo, next door, as well as a good Italian restaurant. Several stores and restaurants around, too. Abingdon is a beautiful town.
